Transparency, Time, and Full-Time Commitment

An important question was raised recently about the value of a timely response from local leadership. I completely agree—communication and accessibility are two of the most critical responsibilities of a County Commissioner.

Over the years, balancing my public duties as Mayor and board member alongside running a local business has been a challenge. When those responsibilities conflicted, I always chose to put public matters first, even when it meant neglecting my own business's bottom line. I did that because the needs of our community have to come before a private pocketbook.

However, Rio Blanco County is facing complex challenges, and our residents deserve a Commissioner who can give them 100% of their focus without a business pulling them away.

That is exactly why I made the decision to step back from daily operations and hand the reins of our family business over to my son, Charlie.

Holding leadership accountable for their time and communication is what keeps our community strong. Thank you to everyone who keeps the bar high for this office—I am ready to meet it on Day One.

Full-time commitment. Rooted in experience.
